The association VFVThe Verein zur Förderung der Forschung und Ausbildung für Faserstoff- und Verpackungschemie (VFV) e.V. - Association for Promoting of the Research and Training for Fibre and Packaging Chemistry - has been established 1972 in Aschaffenburg. The main goals of the association defined at that time did not lose their relevance to date:
In its 33 years of existence, the VFV has been involved in all relevant themes on the fields of fibres and packagings chemistry. To list all projects would be out of proportion for this Internet page. One of the main issues were projects for the short time solutions of various problems of the member companies. In the 90s the main research activities of the VFV have been concentrated in following working groups:
Training programs for engineers were based on grants for practical trainings, study works and degree dissertations. Since 1993 the VFV is organizing on regular basis an annual conference “Trends in the European Foodstuffs Packaging”. On this occasion known German experts as well as experts from abroad present papers attended to the current development on foodstuff packagings.
